Fresh Tomato Smoothie


Not only great tasting, but exceptionally high in antioxidants!


2 cups (chopped) tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato juice
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup (chopped) celery
salt and pepper to taste
Tabasco or hot sauce to taste
2 cups ice

Toss carrots, celery, and tomato juice into blender and whip on high until smooth.

Add tomatoes, and spin again until well mixed.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Serve immediately.

(as an aside, for those hangover mornings, add a shot of vodka for a refreshing twist on the classic bloody mary)
